What more can I say...friends for life!

I have two snail shells in my shaman oracle, used for readings. A bigger and a smaller one. Finding those two friends on the picture in nature reminded me of them and made me rethink about their meaning in the oracle.

The big shell represents your house or home. The need to feel safe in your own space. So the snail can also represent protection, safety and defense.

The smallest shell in the oracle represents the luggage you carry with you. Your personal back pack.

The snail grows its own shell instead of moving in and out different shells as they grow. This on its own is a great symbol of adaptability, and of course growth. So the shell is also about adapting to your circumstances and most of all learning how to deal with the circumstances and your environment and make the best out of it. Growing and learning step by step. The snail is like a living mobile home. No matter where the snail goes, it is always at home. Your home is where your heart is.

There is more than meets the eye when it comes to snail. Its slow moving meaning not rushing into things but slowly and steady moving forward. Learning and evolving from the backpack you carry with you. What if you see your backpack not as a backpack, a load to carry but as an ally, a friend, a reminder, a bag full of lessons learned that made you stronger. Remembering we need to work with what we have, just like the snail works with its shell. We can play to our own strengths just like the snail does every day.
