Ceremonies

In Bali offering is part of a daily pratice. When you walk on the street or visit a temple, everywhere you will see these small palm leaf boxes filled with rice, cookies and flowers. They are called Canang Sari meaning:

Ca; beautiful ~ nang; purpose ~ Sari; essence

And in one way we all have our own ceremonies. A ritual to start or end our day. Everywhere I stay for a certain time, I create a small altar. It is the center, the heart of the house that makes it a home. On my altar my power animals are represented, along with some crystals, incence, branches and wild flowers.

I often place some hand written affirmations or little treasures like shells, stones and feathers collected from nature on the altar too.

Every morning I have my coffee outside on the terrace accompanied with some oracle cards and my favorite music. This is also a ritual. A ritual connects you with the moment, with silence, with your inner self.

Do you have a ritual? Would you like to share it?
