The way you breath effects your whole body. Full, deep breathing can release stress, helps you to ground better and clears your head before making a deciscion.
Breathing with intention or focused breathing is a way of meditating.
I invite you to sit down for 5 minutes. Just sit down on a chair, back straight, both feet connected to the floor. Hands on your upper legs, palms facing up. Notice the contact area between your body and the chair. Just notice for a minute the rise and fall of your breath. Breathing in and out through your nose. Take a deep breath and allow your in breath to fill and expand your abdominal area. While breathing out, relax your head, relax your face and drop your shoulders. Repeat this 3 times. Than for a moment notice if there is any tension left in your body. Breath in again, expand, open up and breath out, imagining this tension flowing down towards your feet, to be absorbed by the earth. Repeat a few times. Open your eyes and say something positive about yourself !
